Jemma O’Brien

Jemma is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. She practises primarily in the areas of Criminal Law, Traffic Law and apprehended violence orders.

In 2015, Jemma began her legal studies at the University of Newcastle, where she was recognised for her academic achievements, selected for an international student program in Vietnam, and able to gain practical experience at the University of Newcastle Legal Centre. She developed a strong interest in Criminal Law and completed her combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degree (with Honours) in 2021.

Jemma joined O’Brien Winter Partners in 2019 and was admitted as a Practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in early 2022. Jemma has appeared in the Local Court, District Court, Criminal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
